AURIO Launches. A New Political Party for Greece

AURIO is now public.

We are a new Greek political party built on evidence, truth, and community action. Today we are publishing our full programme: eight policy papers, a national manifesto, a budget mapping document that shows where every euro comes from, and an Evros regional programme.

What we believe

Greece does not have a problem of solutions. It has a problem of culture. The corruption that defined Greek politics for decades was not an accident. It was the product of a system that rewarded connections over competence, consumption over creation, escape over commitment.

Every country that solved the problems Greece faces changed its culture first. The policies followed. AURIO proposes to build a Greek version of civic culture: one that values craft, rewards building, and treats openness to the world as a source of strength.

What we propose

Ten pillars of evidence based policy:

1. Food Sovereignty — support small cooperative farms, local food networks, and municipal procurement that prioritises local producers.
2. Community Energy — community owned cooperatives that deliver cheaper, cleaner power while keeping revenue local.
3. Local Economy — local procurement mandates, cooperative development, support for the businesses that are already here.
4. Direct Democracy — participatory budgeting at municipal level. Real decision making power, not consultation.
5. Education as Liberation — replace the banking model of education with one that produces builders, not exports.
6. Border Region Justice — when a region provides Europe with a border, an energy gateway and a military platform, it receives proportionate investment.
7. Culture as Infrastructure — fund cultural programming as economic infrastructure, not charity.
8. European Sovereignty — international law, principled consistency, no silence.

What we need

200 signatures to register as a political party under Greek law. Every signature is an act of belief that Greece can change.
